Project Update
CEDAR CREEK RENEWABLES, HEDRICK, IOWA – July 2024
The Town Hall event held in early April was a huge success! Over 100 participants attended to hear the overview of the project, and meet the team members of Cedar Creek Renewables, Green Rock Energy Partners, and Viridi RNG. The Q&A session was enlightening and engaging. We thank you for your support in this community endeavor that will have lasting economic and environmental impacts. We have provided more details below regarding the workflow of the project going forward and will update the website on a regular basis as the project continues forward.

Project Development:
Currently the project is undergoing FEL-0 review, which is an initial engineering step to gather updated capital and operating costs for the facility. CCR intends to have the FEL-0 completed by mid-July, at which point a decision will be made whether to move forward with the project. The next stage gate would be an FEL-2 after completion of the FEL-0, which includes a permit ready set of drawings and initial facility design.
Digester Location and Transportation:
Discussions are currently underway with 2 pipeline companies that can accept the renewable natural gas (Mid-American and Kinder Morgan). Connection location will be part of site selection for the project. We anticipate these initial discussions will conclude by mid-July.
Transportation and Manure Management
CCR Team is exploring multiple options for removal of manure from the pits and transportation to the digester location. Current discussions include reduction of truck traffic for each location, bio-security measures, and consistent quality of manure (solids/liquids/nutrients).
Manure Supply Agreements:
Currently CCR has 65 producers under a non-binding agreement to supply manure to the project, this will provide 65,000,000 gallons of manure to the project. Once the FEL-0 phase mentioned above is completed, binding agreements will be provided to the producers for execution. More details to follow as the project proceeds.
