A more profitable future while contributing to a cleaner environment
Renewable Natural Gas
BENEFITS OF RENEWABLE NATURAL GAS (RNG)
-
Fewer Emissions for the Climate
By reducing greenhouse gas emissions from livestock operations, renewable natural gas plays a pivotal role in preserving the climate and improving air quality.
-
Clean Energy for Consumers
Following its transformation into pipeline-grade methane, RNG merges into pre-existing natural gas distribution systems, supplying heating to homes and businesses without requiring any adjustments, as it shares identical properties with traditional natural gas.
-
Income for Farmers
Renewable natural gas provides farmers with an additional revenue stream, effectively transforming one of their major expenses into a fresh source of income.
OUR PROCESS
CCR will receive swine manure from local swine barn sites that will be delivered by truck or pipeline to its centralized anerobic digester location. The anaerobic digestion process will create renewable natural gas (RNG) and carbon dioxide (CO2).
Both gaseous products will undergo further refining to remove impurities and separate the two gases. Once clean of impurities, the RNG will be piped into the main natural gas pipeline for consumer use. In addition, CCR will install a CNG (compressed natural gas) station on site for use by our trucking fleet and will be potentially available for commercial sale.
The resulting digestate (liquid/solids) from the anerobic digester will go through a liquid/solids separation process. The liquids portion will be further refined through a patented process, developed, and owned by one of CCR-1’s partners; to manufacture an organic liquid fertilizer. The remaining solids will be de-watered and processed into a variety of forms. This solid material may be used for soil amendment and nutrient value.
The remaining liquid will be recycled back to the digester. Any excess liquid will be run through a series of filtration processes producing near potable water quality, suitable for discharge into waterways, irrigation and/or backhauled to holding ponds on local producers’ sites.
We are dedicated to making environmental sustainability a part of our local economy, accessible to all. Through sustainable nutrient practices and community-friendly farming methods, we're ensuring the long-term success of family farms and the well-being of the communities where they’re rooted.
