Swine facilities will be pumped on a regular, year-round schedule leaving only a small percentage of manure, radically reducing manure odors in and around the barns.
Participating farmers will now spread a dry, solid, material on their ground instead of a liquid, reducing post-application odor on fields in the Fall and Spring, and eliminating nitrogen run-off from manure. -
With fewer tractor and manure tank traffic on local roads, residents enjoy quieter, safer environments year-round.
